Bishop's Stortford Hockey Club

- BSHC is one of the largest hockey clubs in England with over 700 members across 10 adult and 21 junior teams playing regularly across the year.
- We celebrate our 70th anniversary season in 2018/19: the club has grown steadily over that time but seen an explosion in growth over the last 10 years following Olympic success in 2012 and 2016.
- As a family club, we’re committed to offering hockey for everyone whatever their age or ability and giving them access to high quality coaching and support to play our sport.
- Club members are regularly selected for international honours at Masters level, junior county and regional hockey, and our U16 Boys reached the national finals in 2018.
- We regularly run coaching in primary schools and other outreach in the BS area led by some of our most experienced members.
- We also offer a range of other chances to get involved including our Back to Hockey initiative for ‘lapsed’ players or adult beginners, Parent & Child matches, and our Flyerz Disabled Hockey initiative.
- The range of our offer helped us to be a finalist for England Hockey’s Club of the Year in 2017 and for EH Men’s Team of the Year and Club Unsung Hero awards in 2018.
