University of Warwick Triathlon and Road Cycling Club
University of Warwick
The University of Warwick Triathlon & Road Cycling Club is one of the fastest-growing and dynamic sports clubs at Warwick. With over 80 friendly members, we share a passion to train, compete and enjoy university life through healthy living and regular exercise. Our aim is to improve fitness, have fun and support our athletes who wish to race; our athletes have enjoyed success from local to international level and in recent years we have rivalled some of the best University Triathlon Clubs in the country.
This year we will continue to offer a comprehensive training timetable of over 15 hours a week. Once a member, you are welcome to attend as much or as little as you like and with such a high volume of activities, you will find great flexibility to get involved in your studies. On the agenda are spin sessions, coached club swims, cycle rides of varying difficulty, group run sessions and core workouts. In term 3 cyclists can get race-ready with the weekly "Bash" chaingang-style ride while swimmers can try open-water swimming at Stanton lakes. We race at a number of events each year, targeting the various BUCS championships in addition to various duathlons, triathlons, road races and time trials to diversify our calendar.
Alongside our training/racing efforts and studying for our degrees, we organize a range of regular socials for our members to enjoy.
