Formed in 1872, the club is fast approaching it’s 150th anniversary. In the period since its foundation, OUAFC can boast 29 full international caps, five FA Cup finals and an FA Cup trophy, from 1874
The club’s Men's first eleven, the ‘Blues’, have participated in the prestigious Varsity match 133 times. The Women's Blues have participated in the Varsity Match 33 times. For the past two years, Varsity Matches have been jointly held in The Hive Stadium London. This year, the Women's match was after the Men's, a first for any Oxbridge Varsity Match.
Played annually since 1873, the Varsity match is one of the oldest football fixtures in the world, breaking only for WW2.
The annual 'Cuppers' competition, contested by the colleges which constitute the University of Oxford, was first played 135 years ago, making it one of the oldest tournaments in world football.
The club’s home sits at Iffley Road, within the famous Roger Bannister running track, where the first sub-four-minute mile was run
