Durham Union Society
University of Durham
Founded in 1842 to uphold free speech, the Durham Union Society is the largest and oldest society at Durham University. We have approximately 3,000 current members from across all colleges and degree disciplines. We host weekly Friday night debates and guest speaker addresses on a range of stimulating topics, inviting high profile guest speakers to talk to our members. In addition, the Union is an integral part of student life and our members benefit from regular social events ranging from black-tie balls, to open mic nights and themed socials.
