Cambridge University Manufacturing Engineering Overseas Research Project
University of Cambridge
The Manufacturing Engineering Overseas Research Project is an integral part of our course, whereby students travel abroad to research a chosen topic area on current manufacturing trends, and present their findings in a professional report to present to sponsors, academics and other interested parties. In previous years, students have travelled to destinations from Sweden to as far as Japan to investigate topics such as the role of government in facilitating innovation in digitalisation to Industrial Symbiosis.
Our theme this year focuses on Servitisation, which is the prevailing trend of companies shifting to a service-based business model in various industries.
