University College London (UCL) Women's Hockey Club is renowned throughout the University as one of the most progressive and prestigious societies at UCL. We have three teams competing regularly in the BUCS and LUSL leagues, as well as a social fourth team which welcomes beginners. The club also has a mixed team with the UCL Men's Hockey Club.
The purpose of the club is to offer opportunities for students to play a high-level of hockey, as well provide beginners the chance to give it a go. All four teams train once a week with a qualified coach, so that the most can be gained out of practice, with fitness sessions every other week and matches played twice a week. The club prides itself on achieving the essential balance between sporting excellence, voluntary work and social involvement within Women's and Men's hockey and with other university societies, and is the perfect place to make friends for life at UCL.
We run many social events throughout the year from the Christmas Ball, Sportsnite every Wednesday to our annual summer tour with UCL Men's Hockey Club. Alongside this, the club organises several fundraising activities, such as the Easter Tea Party for the Camden OAP society to socials raising money and awareness for a variety of charities.
