UCL Leading Women Society
University College London
Established in 2013, UCL Leading Women Society has rapidly grown into a forum for the discussion of issues of gender that face us in the professional sphere today. We aim to stimulate consensus building, and bring a sustainable balance and diversity to leadership.
LWS aims to empower people of all gender identities to strive for the careers they deserve, and educate conventional leaders about the benefits and necessity of creating more diverse and balanced work environments.
We are challenging subconscious negative presets about different genders in leadership, and looking to empower bright minds to lead us into a brighter future.
Our society is not industry specific; we host speakers from a range of career backgrounds. In this way, we look to educate our members about the professional opportunities that they have in whatever it is they want to do. We also hold CV workshops, mock-interview programmes, networking sessions and much more for our members as well as social events to encourage networking within the society itself.
