KCL Women in Medicine
King's College London
Over half of the medics in training are women, however men represent 66% of doctors on the specialist register. This society aims to inspire and mentor medical students to engage in all areas of medicine and to establish greater equality amongst the medical community.
1. To connect medical students with key role models through talks and workshops to encourage leadership and personal aspirations.
2. To explore current issues and to highlight the valuable contributions of women within medicine and surgery.
3. To build a supportive network between medical students of all genders through group discussion and social events.
We will be hosting inspiring events throughout the year in order to encourage and inspire ladies of Medicine.
